Karla Freeman As I Look upon this place. My heart it is said, could never belong. But, this is my homeland, upon which my ancestors fought with pride and fate. I see the rocks, and cliff’s, a many. I am ashamed to say, why we left this place. For, this is the most beautiful land, with grassy nomes, and hand made homes. With roads that travel on forever. Let me come home to die alone, on the shores of the winds, that set me free. I come home at last, to see my home, which all my loved ones left for to roam. My heart belongs to Ireland, my soul to God, so let me go, so to live in peace upon the blue sky. For the grassy grounds and the fertile soul, do I give up, to till no more. So, I’ll say my fare well’s and be on my way, and not have a care in my head about today. And once in heaven, I”ll be looking down, protecting my homeland, and the beautiful ground, that’s all around.
Terrill Harvey Ireland. Though I have never been, it feels like a part of me. My ancestors were born there; many of them died there. At some point they decided to leave this beautiful homeland,to travel a place of promise and dreams. A place called America. Yes, i am an American, but part of me rests in the beautiful home land of Ireland!
